| Posted: 08 Sep 2010 07:42 PM PDT hi everyone, i am part of an electrical class and i have a final project to do which entails designing or modifying something. It is a written project and is about 60-100 pages long. must show circuit diagrams etc. Some examples are 1) an automatic sprinkler system or 2) a traffic light system working on solar energy......stuff like this. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY OTHER OR BETTER IDEAS OF A PROJECT THAT I COULD WORK ON CUZ AM STUCK....:(. CAN THE EXAMPLES ABOVE BE MODIFIED?? HELPPP!!! THANKS FOR YOUR TIME. |
| Posted: 08 Sep 2010 12:46 PM PDT I am studying recently about the different circuit parameters like Z-parameters, Y parameters, H parameters. But I can't make out how the two port circuits are being made. as for example, in case for h parameters why the input is taken as open circuit and why the output as short circuit???? which parameters can be applied to which type of circuits?? what is the logic used for making the Y-parameter two port circuit, or Z parameter two port circuit or h- parameter two port circuits??? |

| Question on power factor improvement by using phase advancer Posted: 08 Sep 2010 09:30 AM PDT Q:For power factor improvement in 3-phase induction motor we generally use phase advancer which is mounted on the same shaft of the induction motor.This is a A.C. exciter.My question is what is an A.C. exciter and how it is working,from which source it is supplied? |
