regenerative shocker

Posted: 12 Aug 2011 12:34 AM PDT

sir,
i am working for baja atv in india
we'll be having an interview soon in 5
days and we have only one factor which could help ur to get through this interview. and that is innovation
we want to design self made regenerative shockers
that is instead of using the oil in the damper
we'll cut grooves in the piston of the dampers(pinion of rack and pinion type) and meshing it with rack on both sides of it such that when it moves up and down it also moves the 2 motors(rack) connected to it.
kindly help me to overcome the problems which this type of damper could face and also help me to clear the interview by making the judges satisfactorily understand the concept.
please sir its very urgent.
if ill b able to show even 1% probability that such thing could be made ill b selected .

Pumping wet steam against boiler pressure

Posted: 11 Aug 2011 08:57 PM PDT

What are the problems in pumping wet steam say at 0.2 kg/ sq. cm to boiler pressure? I think that instead of extracting steam to vacuum pressure( negative pressure to condense it & then pumping it Pumps can be designed to suck the wet steam from turbine exhaust & increase its pressure to boiler pressure. This will eliminate vacuum pump & its electrical consumption & thus increase in output.

Increaseing power output from installed thermal power generation

I would like to know whether it is possible to increase output from existing thermal power plant either in terms of heat input, efficiency, vacuum , heat rate , exhaust parameters etc. As it is well known that cost of installing new power plant in India is about Rs 5,00,00,000 per MW. I think that increasing output from same machines with latest technologies will reduce time /financial load/ human efforts.
