Hi Everyone,

I am Christopher, and many of my friends call me Christophorus for short;). Well, I am a student of Federal University of Technology, Minna, Niger State, Nigeria and I live in Abuja. Presently, I am in the final year of my Mechanical Engineering Degree program. Concerning working experience, I had my Industrial Experience last year (2010) in Dangote Cement Plc, Obajana, Kogi State for six months and that's all about that.

Hey, it may shock you guys to hear this but ..."I have never really fancied myself as a Mechanical Engineer". Personally, I used to think it was boring - from terrible calculus to abstract designs. Maybe it's because, I have so many interests in my life. But you know what, I feel comfortable here. In this place, I have seen that you guys have unending interests and mind-blowing ideas. At least, I feel safe with blurting out those crazy thoughts that hit me every now and then trust that I have colleagues to whom it's just a piece of cake.

I am interested in Entrepreneurship, Finance, Economics, Mechatronics and all forms Information Technology.

I hope that one day in life, I will become a major world industrialist and humanitarian and I am studying very hard to achieve my goal. Presently, I am an Oracle Database Professional and I hope to begin a Professional Accounting Course, next year (Hope I'm not out of place?) while intend to further my studies in the area of Management.

I came across CrazyEngineers when I was doing a research for my project two years ago and then I just signed up but I never took it seriously, Now, I am joining CrazyEngineers because I value the wealth of knowledge that you guys are made of (I have been silently studying the contributions in the various fora). I believe you guys are world changers and I want to be part of this wonderful family.

Sincerely, I am proud to be here...

I love you all!!!

My boss has asked me to look up information about "there is a rock anchor system which is used where the towers are erected where there is no top soil." I have never heard about this being done before and can't seem to find any information about it on the web. Has anyone had experience with this or can point me in the right direction?

best aeronautical universities?

Posted: 03 Jun 2011 03:04 AM PDT

hey...i just completed my third year in mechanical engineering in India...i took this branch so that i could specialise in aeronautical(MS) after my B.E..i have been checking out a lot of colleges mainly in USA...most of which require good GRE scores...Embry Riddle is one of the best colleges and has some amazing courses to offer..

Recently i checked out few colleges in europe too... they look equally good and some even better....they DO NOT require GRE...but TOEFL/IELTS
Moreover the fee structure is way lesser than US...few colleges in France also have tie-ups with Airbus...

i am in a dilemma...i dont know which colleges are the best to apply for...i will have to answer different exams accordingly...

could any people in the aeronautical field help me out??

The contribution of Infosys to India

Infosys Technologies has been going through some turbulent phases in the recent months, but all of us are sure that it will stand once again. The change in management is already taking some very good efforts in bringing the company to its lost glory and also have mooted some very innovative product ideas. Social media channels like Facebook and Twitter too are buzzing with this new found energy. You can go there and participate in the discussions if you are passionate about the company.

I am completing my B.tech in ECE and has two options before me
1)Go for the placement offer made by Infosys.
2)Go for Masters degree before joining industry.
Inputs from different people like teachers friends etc suggest I go for masters abroad. I am in total confusion as on what to decide, which stream of specialisation to chose and where to study. pleeeeese help!! Thanks in advance :)
