Building a H.V. Transmission line. Posted: 18 Jun 2011 01:34 AM PDT I'm doing my final year in electrical engineering (power). The topic I have chosen for my project is Analysis of faults in High Voltage Transmission Lines. I would like to know if it is possible to build my own "H.V. Transmission Line" the Pie method which is basically a circuit which will have Inductors and Capacitors. Will it be acceptable for me to use 220V as my Tranmission voltage. Is it possible for me to simulate faults at this voltage and what sort of protection can I use for this circuit to interrupt the faults for this circuit. I am planning to have a 220V line represent a single line of the 3-ph circuit. I dont know what measuring instruments I can use. Please help me as I would like to have this done Practically. Any suggestion are welcome. |
