My Experience in CE - 1000 Posts

Posted: 02 May 2011 10:26 AM PDT

Sometimes we found ourselves no where and finally finishing in one of the better positions. When I choose Electrical stream, I don't know what I am doing but as time goes on CE was very helpful for me.

When sahithi first told me about this site,I just take it as a normal one but theres always something special in CE other than its techno site. It brings all the people across the world together where we learn many things more than the information we required. I use to mess up with my language as I live in a semi - remote place where there were no one around me who will speak English and CE is the only place I will use English as a medium of communication. It helped me a lot on that part and solving my doubts regarding subjects.

I usually don't get easily addicted to any site unless I love it and sometime words are not enough to express it but I now can only show that in number.

1000 likes to CE.

This would be my 1000th post

Other than that its been almost two years by the time I joined in CE.

Thank you Biggie for giving us such a wonderful opportunity and Thank you all CEans for your support, kindness and help towards me.

Why wasn't dead Osama shown to people? Why did USA burried him so quickly?

Posted: 02 May 2011 09:06 AM PDT

I was hoping to see the dead Osama Bin Laden. However, I'm bit surprised that there are no official photos of dead Osama so far. Things are quite unusual. There's also a news that US bury the dead body somewhere in the sea near Afganistan.

I'm now wondering why did they do that? Why did US not show official footages of the dead Osama?

TTl :Time to Live concept in networking

Posted: 02 May 2011 08:59 AM PDT

:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

hello ,

I was going through time to live concept , this is basically helps to prevent circular routing and also lets the broadcaster in network know the packet are reaching destination or not , if not their TTL field is decremented , when it reaches zero its discarded boroadcaster informed then he can chose whether to rebroadcast package or not : My question is as follows

1) What are advantages of using TTL ( leaving that it helps to prevent circular routing one ) ?

2) What are the disadvantages of TTL , its really difficult to make out ?

Yours help will be appreciated !!

Was Osama a terrorist?

Posted: 02 May 2011 06:43 AM PDT

What do you think people? How can we call Osama a terrorist? He gave up his *millions* for the sake of his own people.
If he was really a greedy man then he would be engaged in his construction business that his father started. He would have never gone against King Faisal Saud.

He wanted to protect his country.

Quote:

He reacted swiftly to Iraqi invasion and saw it fulfilling his prophecy. He immediately forwarded another letter to the king suggesting in detail how to protect the country from potentially advancing Iraqi forces. In addition to many military tactics suggested, he volunteered to bring all the Arab mujahedeen to defend the kingdom. That letter was presented in the first few days of the incident...

Posted: 02 May 2011 02:15 AM PDT

The news of Osama Bin Laden's Death is making headlines all over the world media today. Osama was one of the biggest terrorists and his death is surely creates a huge dent on the plans terrorists had. I wish to know how many CEans think that Osama's death will largely put a check on the global terrorism?

There are few thoughts that the terrorism will now become even worse all over the world. What's your opinion?

Posted: 01 May 2011 10:35 PM PDT

LG's one of the leading brands in Air Conditioning. I stumbled upon their products page and found out they've a new lineup of ACs for the summer. I decided to take a look at the specifications & features of LG AS-W126B1U1 Split Air Conditioner -

At a glance, LG boasts of DC Inverter Technology, 3G Cyclotron Plasma, Allergy Care System, Jet Cool, Jet Heat, Hot and Cold Function in their new lineup. The DC Inverter Technology, as LG says is one of the best technologies for optimum energy efficiency. It saves up to 60% of energy when compared to the other ACs of similar caliber. The AC features variable speed compressor instead of a regular mono-speed compressor which results into better cooling.

Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) has acknowledged that LG ACs have lower power consumptions compared to other ACs of equal star-rating. Those who don't know about the star ratings, more number of stars is proportional to lesser energy consumption and more initial price.

Quick Specs:-

Capacity (Ton):1.0DC Inverter Technology: Yes
Cooling: 3500 watt
Heating Capacity: 4000 W
Compressor: Rotary
Power Supply: (Volt/Phase/Hz.): 220-240.50/1Price: The price of LG AS-W126B1U1 is Rs. 41000/- in India.
