Difference Betwen WEP & WPA2-PSK Posted: 16 Mar 2011 06:56 AM PDT I'm looking for the difference between WEP and WPA2-PSK terms used in Wireless Router Domain. All I know about them is that they're encryption mechanisms used in securing wireless routers. Is that right? PS: Don't point to Wikipedia articles. :)

Are Console Based Games Dying? Posted: 16 Mar 2011 06:48 AM PDT Peter Vesterbacka of Rovio - the company that develops highly popular game "Angry Birds" has said that the there's no future to consol games and they're becoming obsolete. The popularity of mobile devices is growing and they offer plethora of options to game developers. Yes, at present there are hardware capability limitations, but in future, we'll have very powerful hand-held devices capable of processing complex graphics. I personally do not think console based games will die anytime soon. The nature of console based games is very different from those based on mobiles and I believe they'll continue to co-exist for a long time in future. Your take on this?
Tips To Secure Wi-Fi Connection Posted: 16 Mar 2011 06:41 AM PDT Wi-Fi networks are easy to break in if the administrators haven't ensured enough security. It seems that security of Wi-Fi networks is one of the common issues faced. Let's collect all the tips to secure wi-fi connections. The first and the most basic tip: Use a strong password for your wi-fi connection. Most people leave it default (empty) or something very easy to guess. Also, if your router supports, use encryption :) Looking for more.

IE9 Reviews: Great Additions Buy Crashed By Vista [BSOD] Posted: 16 Mar 2011 06:12 AM PDT We have a detailed post on VoiCE that covers what's new in Internet Explorer 9. I've been using it as my primary browser on my desktop and laptop, however, the browser crashed my Vista once, with a BSOD error:(. I'm sure Microsoft can't do anything wrong with this browser, but it did crash my OS. Apart from this, the browser rocks! :) . The new features are all welcome. Have you downloaded IE9 yet? Please quit using IE6 and 7 and get IE9. Share your reviews in this thread.
Posted: 16 Mar 2011 06:07 AM PDT For me, one of the most important criteria while buying an electronic gadget (phone, audio player, video player, camera) is its battery life. Now a days, mobile phones serve all the purpose and combine multiple gadgets into one. I'm seeking views & reviews on phones & brands with the best battery lives. This has to be very generic, I suppose. I can vouch for Samsung phones. All the Samsung phones I've owned, I've never had any issue with the battery life. The batteries would last at least for 3-4 days depending upon usage. However, I've had a very bad experience with HTC phones. The battery would die within a day or last for about 30 hours. I've not used Nokia a lot, but I've heard good reviews from others about their battery life. I'm also interested in knowing about the battery life of Micromax, Spice, Lemon and other 'economical' phones :)

Red Quanta To Offer Mystry Shopping In India Posted: 16 Mar 2011 06:01 AM PDT Red Quanta is Mumbai, India based startup that is trying out mystry shopping in India. I'm new to the concept and found out following information about mystry shopping from RQ's website - Mystery Shopping Mystery Shopping is the practice of using trained shoppers to anonymously evaluate customer service, operations, employee integrity, merchandising, and product quality. Mystery Shopping Program has been proven the best way across the globe to find out how your company is operating from the customer's perspective. Mystery shopping is not opinion research. Shoppers are not paid to give their opinions; they are paid to report their observations. Mystery shoppers visit outlets/stores "disguised as normal customers," and behave like other customers do-ask for alteration, make a purchase, make a return, inquire about loyalty points-but with a twist. These secret customers are there to evaluate the businesses and their employees. After a visit, the mystery shopper completes a report or questionnaire detailing what occurred. Need For Mystery Shopping In today's highly competitive environment companies that fail to provide excellent service to the client are risking their survival. Studies show that a satisfied customer will tell three other people about his experience. A dissatisfied customer will tell ten to twelve people. All too often, though, the customer won't tell the business owner or manager. Businesses like Banks, NBFC etc. apart from loss of business can also face legal hassles and fines/penalties for the actions of their employees. Do you think the concept will work in India, given the attitude of Indian users? Share your opinion.
Should Governments Control The Internet? Posted: 16 Mar 2011 05:54 AM PDT We've seen it recently. The governments have a Internet Switch which they can turn on or off according to their will. Especially in emergency time, government can take control of the Internet and stop access to digital information. Do you think it's justified that governments should control what information people can access?
