this is a common post from CEan CT & CP :D

We have always dreamed of starting up a venture all by, ourselves and we were strong that it should not be an idea that is quickly forgotten after the excitement dies down. the first lesson we got was "look around for opportunities, if something is not there then thats where you should start your venture" that is indeed a very good way to start thinking about your own business. so we, "the excited pair" decided to keep a look out for any such kind of situation and we did not have to strain our sight so much to find what we wanted because the problem was right in front of us. and viola! we got our idea for a start up.:happy:

PLAN:

" as you know my sister, CP is a civil engineering student. she was having a problem in preparing for her exams. No it was not that the paper was really tough or anything. she did not have a question bank"

a question bank has a collection of questions from the previous year papers and the solutions for them. :cry:

advantages of a question bank:

1) identification of a repetitive pattern in the previous year question papers. (very helpful to get an idea of how the paper is going to be)

2) gives clear solutions to really tricky questions and helps you from stirring of shock when they encounter such questions in the exam hall.

The case of the civil students:

This sector of engineering students that is civil engr just can't get hold of a question bank no matter how much they are ready to pay. (at least in Tamil Nadu, India) none of the publishing houses has taken them seriously!

so there! we've got our idea! we intend to publish question banks for civil students!!! and the best part… no contenders in the field as of now!

so with this idea (though not Really huge, still fit for people who are still students) we have entered a B-Plan contest. not something that you would not have heard… it is the wagon R think smart challenge!!!

Micromax Tablet - Sooner Or Later

I'm expecting Micromax to launch a cheap tablet in India sooner or later. The company took Indian mobile markets by storm by launching cheap mobile phones and has gathered a major market share in very short time. The trend set by Micromax is now followed by tons of other companies like T-Seires, Lava, Lemon, Zen, Carbonn, Maxx and so on.

If Micromax launches a tablet, I'm sure it will be priced below Rs. 15000 and run on Android Operating System. The tablet will be manufactured by a Chinese company and will have tons of features. I won't expect great quality from Micromax, but it'll surely help in making the tablets popular in India.

What are your thoughts on Micromax Tablet? Will it compete with NotionInk's Adam and Olivepad? Share your views (all imagination, you see :) )

IE9 Releasing On March 14

Microsoft Developer Network India tweeted today that the latest shiny version of the Internet Explorer will be relased on March 14. If that date is not to be believed, the IE9 will definitely release on March 24.

Few days ago, MS released the RC version of the browser and it did impress lot of users.

Tikona Broadband Speed & Plans Review

I've been thinking about getting a new broadband connection for CE's office :cool: and Tikona has been one of the shortlisted ISP. The company has great plans and offers (they don't match BSNL's Broadband Plan anyway).

I however would like to have reviews from users and subscribers of Tikona in various cities. I'm also interested in knowing their customer service experience. Few of the users have complained that they've had very bad experience with Tikona's customer service while others said that they're satisfied with it.

How is the overall experience with Tikona. Does the connection drop and what are upload/download speeds?

Making a Video About "How To Use CE-Forum" : Suggestions Invited

It will be a very simple "How-to-do" video, explaining steps of starting a new thread, replying on existing posts etc..
