basic guidance please

i have studied C programming language and asked a programmer where should i go from here. he said there are two fields
i.e: 1) software development in desktop environment using GTK+ or KDE
2) web development with mysql and javascript
i wish to learn how to develop advance web sites can you please give me some guidance as to where to start.

Which DNS Do You Use & Why?

I've been hearing a lot about Google DNS server being faster in operation than the Open DNS. I'm wondering which DNS server all our expert CEans use - and any special reason for using it.

I've been using my ISP's DNS server and never cared about opting for any special DNS provider (viz. OpenDNS).

I also wish to know whether there were any noticeable changes you've experienced after changing the DNS settings on your comptuer?

Hi i am a piyush i have create send sms project in this six java file create
1)sender.java
2)SerialConnaction.java
3)SerialConnactionException.java
4)SerialParametres.java
5)SMSClient.java
6)SendMySms.java.
upon file create to send sms pc to mobile using java&j2me but this project will not run so plz telling you how run this project and how to send sms pc to mobile using java&j2me code
