Looking for help on high current measurement

Dear Team,

I saw your forum, its great. I am looking for a way to measure the welding current in a Spot Welding machine.

Its max current can go upto 45 KA and this current will flow for an instant (fraction of a second).

Can you please suggest some best possible way? :)

Question about measuring power dissipation

Hello guys. First time posting.

I am using a single pole double throw switch IC for switching applications (part number ADG436) for battery powered applications. I am trying to measure the power dissipation for this device, and did it by simply just connecting the power supply to the VDD and GND and using an ammeter to measure the current on it. However, no values came up on the ammmeter. Isn't this the way to go in measuring power dissipation?

Or since this is a switch IC, should I be measuring the source and drain terminals instead?
Also, do you guys think power dissipation of the chip itself will change if I use a virtual ground setup to set up a +/- voltage rail using a single supply for this chip?

Ex Microsoft Managing Director, Mr. Rajan Anandan is joining Microsoft's #1 Web-Rival, Google as country head and Vice President Sales and Operations. Rajan is Stanford & MIT alumnus and he turned an investor for a brief period after quitting his job at MS.

His earlier engagements includes Dell and McKinsey. "We always hire the best talent available. India is an important growth country for Google," said Daniel Alegre, President for Japan and Asia-Pacific.

i am designing and air cooled steam condenser and would like to know that why expansion in tubes are required after welding the tubes to tube sheets?

will it work if i use only expansion or only welding (TIG SEAL WELD)?

if yes then till what pressures and temperatures we can use only welding of tubes with tube sheets
