Is computer engineering with a half assed computer science with some electronical eng Posted: 24 Jan 2011 10:34 PM PST I'm having a debate in what I want to major in college. I love computers and it's killing me because I don't know what to choose between computer science and computer engineering. Sometimes I feel that computer science is more in depth with programming and such while computer engineering is just electrical engineering with some classes that relate to computer science but do not go as in depth with the programming as well as other topics that yo u can only get in computer science. |
Posted: 24 Jan 2011 10:12 AM PST Hello ppl, I have a problem regarding CRC codes. I understood that we have a k bit dataword and n bit codeword and n=k+r where r is the number of zeros augmented to dataword to make it a codeword. By looking at some examples i got that r, i.e. number of zeros, is minus one of divisor. If divisor consist of 4 digits then we augment 3 zeros to dataword. But i am not able to get the logic behind it. Can anyone explain it to me? |
