Hello! I am...

Posted: 08 Dec 2010 10:45 AM PST

Hello guys,

I am Abhishek Bhattacharya from Delhi, India. I am pursuing my engineering from ITM Universe, Gwalior (www.itmuniverse.in). My field of specialisation is Information Technology and I chose this stream because of my inherent interest in it.

I founded my college newsletter OJAS CampusTalk and was Editor-in-Chief of the same for the period (Feb 2009 - May 2010). (www.ojascampustalk.org/forum) During my stint as an EIC, I learnt a lot of things but engineering was kept on the back burner and I became inclined towards management and gave my CAT this year as well.

I am in my fourth year right now, so I am trying to re focus my attention towards my subjects and have a healthy six months time to revise the concepts and learn newer things.

I liked the website very much. I was amazed that I came to know about this quite late..:(:(. Hope to enjoy my stay here...

How to Propose

Posted: 08 Dec 2010 06:36 AM PST

How to propose?

When I saw your name next to mine,
In our wedding card,
I felt blessed.

When I saw you smile,
Seeing me in the traditional bride groom dress,
I felt teased.

When I held your hand,
During the marriage rituals,
I felt responsible.

When you entered my lonely bachelor life,
And changed it into a heavenly abode,
I felt lucky.

When you showed the same love as I did,
Towards my parents,
I felt proud.

When you scolded me,
For neglecting my heath amidst my hectic work,
I felt pampered.

When I saw you scream,
Crying out of labor pains,
I felt helpless.

When I saw tears of happiness in your eyes,
As you looked at our kid,
I felt blessed once again.
All these feeling have bloomed in my heart,

But are yet to blossom in reality.
As these are feelings I long to feel,
For these are still unfelt.

Will you marry me?

Give me fate or i will give u attitude

A soldier in Afghanistan received a letter from his
girlfriend back home. It read as follows:

Dear Ricky,

I can no longer continue our relationship. The distance between us is
just too great. I'm sorry.

Please return the picture of me that I sent to you.

Love, Becky

The soldier, with hurt feelings, asked his fellow soldiers for any
snapshots they could spare of their girlfriends, sisters or
ex-girlfriends.

In addition to the picture of Becky, Ricky included all the other
pictures of the pretty gals he had collected from his buddies. There
were 57
photos in that envelope along with this note:

Dear Becky,

I'm so sorry, but I can't quite remember who the hell you are.

Please take your picture from the pile, and send the rest back to me.

Take Care,
Ricky

How to create a software licence agreement?

Posted: 08 Dec 2010 04:16 AM PST

I am working on a small software project which is almost complete now. To deploy the application we need a software licence agreement. I have a few queries as follows:
  1. Should I modify any existing End user licence agreement of some vendor?
  2. or should I hire a lawyer to draft a custom EULA for our software?
If you recommend option 1, how should I do it? Are there any websites that specialize in preparing EULAs?

Our software is closed source hence I cannot use any of the GNU's licences.

Avionics Project

Posted: 08 Dec 2010 04:15 AM PST

Hey again, I pretty much told use what i was doing for my project in my other thread. Erm, I think it was Ash that mentioned doing some sort of practical, basically I dont have time to do any sort of practical because my folder has to be re-submitted on monday again. The only requirement I need at the minute is suggestion of a circuit that I could look at and describe how the circuit works. The circuit would have to be something ivolved with navigation systems or communication systems, help would be much appreciated. :p

Google Search AROUND(n) Operator

Posted: 08 Dec 2010 04:06 AM PST

Not many know Google's AROUND(n) operator because it's mostly undocumented. This operator allows you search for documents where the distance between the search terms is around 'n'.

Note that this operator only works when you use it in ALL CAPS. Try the following search -

Try this search (click):-

Google

It will show you results with keywords containing keywords 'crazy' and 'engineers' with about 2 elements in between. This is especially useful when you're searching for quotes, or saying et al.

According to the Mr. Daniel M. Russell, creator of AROUND(n) operator has existed since 5-6 years; but no one really bothered about it.
