Miniature lightweight brushless DC air compressor anyone? Posted: 20 Nov 2010 12:03 PM PST Checking out my options here and wondering if anyone has any clue of the existence of miniature brushless motor DC-powered air compressor? That entails that the compressor be very small, like say 60mm by 40mm or so, weighing less than 80 grams, and able to output highly compressed stream of air (continuous or pulse). Maybe a separate container would be needed to hold the compressed air? Before devising such an item, perhaps this already exists? Thanks for your intuitive input.
Port Address, Physical Address, Logical Address Posted: 20 Nov 2010 11:43 AM PST What is the difference between Port Address, Physical Address, Logical Address. How and at which OSI layer they are used?

Turbine Performance / Efficiency Evaluator Posted: 20 Nov 2010 09:58 AM PST Dear friends, Normally, it is not that easy to calculate the turbine performance and efficiency based on the operational / process data. However, detailed calculations from different references and books enable you to calculate the turbine efficiency and other performance parameters. Here is a very useful software which has been developed to calculate the performance parameters and efficiency of Steam or Gas turbines based on process data. I hope Chemical Engineers would enjoy this small and FREE utility "TurboMart" during their day-to-day working. You can download it from this direct link: thePetrsoStreet - Downloads
Posted: 20 Nov 2010 08:32 AM PST Now a days I am using Rockmelt Browser and it seems to be good. It is made on Chromium platform, so its as fast as Google chrome(my favorite....:)). The best feature is that it gives you a total different social networking experience. It provides two different panels on both sides(left and right) which tells you who is online and keep you update what is happening. I dont think after using it, I will open my facebook page(except for watching pictures and videos). Its only available by invites. So, if you need it, you have to find someone who can invite you to use this. P.S.: Sorry, my invites are over....:)

Twitter Is Down: 503 Service Temporarily Unavailable Posted: 20 Nov 2010 02:19 AM PST Twitter Is Overcapacity, says a message on the Twitter hompage, upon login. I tried to login and got following message: Service Temporarily Unavailable The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later. Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. I wonder when will Twitter fix this problem. Is it down for me or everyone else?
Which Job Site Is The Best For Freshers? Posted: 20 Nov 2010 02:05 AM PST One of the most common problems faced by all fresh engineering graduates is to find jobs. While many get placed through campus recruitment drives; there are many who've to make use of the job sites. I wish to know which site is the best for freshers to upload resume? Is it Naukri.com, Monster.com, TimesJobs.com or any other site? I've a feeling, we should start referring our CEans to companies through our own job site :)
Any ideas on how to treat myself after exams are done? Posted: 19 Nov 2010 11:56 PM PST I have really important post graduate exams coming up in a few weeks that have me super stressed out right now. Do you have any good ideas of what I can buy to treat myself after exams are done?
Post a Link of a Blog Post You Like Posted: 19 Nov 2010 11:28 PM PST We read many different blogs. And sometimes we find a really good post. We can have this space to share what we like. So, that we get to read more interesting, informative or amusing stuff. Just post a link of any blog post you liked here (Other than the blog posts of CEans :p) and mention in a few words, what you liked about it.
Spread The Word About CrazyEngineers Day Through Your Blog! Posted: 19 Nov 2010 10:53 PM PST CEans, Most of CEans have their own blogs and I think it would be a great idea to spread the word about CrazyEngineers Day through your blog. Do tell your readers about our plans of being online between 5-6 PM on November 26. Lot of your readers may not know about CrazyEngineers, so it would be nice if you could introduce CrazyEngineers to them. Say what? If you write anything on your blog, please post a link to your post in this thread.
