Posted: 16 Nov 2010 04:44 AM PST Hot and Cold working Processes: The metal working processes are derived into hot working and cold working processes. The division is on the basis of the amount of heating applied to the metal before applying the mechanical force. Those processes working above the re-crystallization temperature are hot working processes where as the below or termed as cold working processes. Under the action of heat and force when the atom reach a certain high energy level the new crystal start forming , which is termed as re- crystallization. Re-crystallization destroys the old grain structure deform by the mechanical working and entirely new crystal which are strain free and form. Re-crystallization temperature is defined as the approximate minimum temperature at which complete re-crystallization of a cold work metal occurs with in a specified time. Hot working processes. Hot working of metals takes place above re-crystallization by hot working processes the metal are given desired shape by subjecting then two forces which cause then to undergo plastic deformation at the temperature above the re-crystallization range. Different hot working processes are as follows: for complete detail just click here: mechanical engineering |

Google HotPot Recommendations powered by you and your friends Posted: 16 Nov 2010 01:16 AM PST This is the official news from the Google Community Blog: There's something so exciting about discovering new places. Nothing beats finding a great new place I've never beenwhether it's a new bakery with a special dessert, a hole-in-the-wall Mediterranean place I didn't notice before or a local art gallery where I can let my imagination roam free. The challenge with finding those great places is that each of us has different tastes. I want to find places I like and I want to find them quickly. So when I'm overwhelmed with possibilities, I turn to sources I can trust. For example, if I'm in a new city, I might chat with the concierge at my hotel and explain to him the kinds of places I like so he can give me personalized recommendations, or I'll ask my friends for local recommendations because I value their opinions and we have similar tastes. But finding trusted advice is hard; wouldn't it be great if there was a way for me to get these recommendations all the time, everywhere I go? We are trying to do exactly that, and today we're excited to share the first step: an early release of Hotpot - a local recommendation engine powered by you and your friends. |
Have you visited Lamebook? It's getting sued. Posted: 16 Nov 2010 01:05 AM PST Lamebook showcases some of the hilariously inept postings on Facebook, keeping user names anonymous. The site claims the use of the name “Lamebook” is within its First Amendement Rights and has been in the process of seeking judicial support that it is not infringing on Facebook’s trademark! Lamebook is publicly pleading for donations for its legal fund, and calling out Facebook on its site. “Facebook didn’t get the joke. They’ve decided to pick on the little guys: small business owners who seem to be no match for a multi-billion dollar behemoth. But this is one website that’s not going down without a fight.” After some legal back and forth between Facebook and Lamebook, the satirical site is getting sued by its own subject matter. This is surely getting some high publicity for Lamebook. :p Visit it here: www.Lamebook.com |

NASCA LINES: Hydraulyc Connected Mega Engineering Structure Posted: 15 Nov 2010 11:58 PM PST Ok dear colleagues, it has been very hard to discuss with archeologist and anthropologists, but I always told them that NASCA LINES were not a UFO, or praying ritual paths, or other than an MASSIVE ENGINEERING HYDRAULIC STRUCTURE, so I would like some sort of support as I believe have solve the puzzle about our NASCA GEOGLIPHS in PERU... Here's the story: "It has become an unprecedented theory about natural resources management and hydraulics in the Andes, done by a pre-Inca culture 2500 years ago, called the Nasca Culture. Cabrejo has developed a theory on the use of the famous Nasca Lines. Follower of the work of Maria Reiche, he suggests that the lines represent some sort of complex giant hydraulic systems and structures that goes beyond religion and astronomy. In this work the author gives a very workable solution to what the ancient pre-Inca Peruvian villagers belonging to the Nasca Culture did to manage the water at the "pampa", located in the Province of Nasca, State of Ica on the surface of the driest coast of Peru. He believes that they gently and artistically handle the liquid element between rivers and transported to very long distances using only gravity and the natural slope on the plane, with an unprecedented climate change over 2000 years ago, similarly as to what is happening nowadays with the global warming and climate anomalies. The author affirms in his book that this was done purely for hydraulic purposes in order to maintain subsistence farming, without underestimating the cosmic and religious affairs of that culture, using only the Andean geography, gravity, slope and a lot of imagination" I hope you read and comment about it Here are the links: Familia Cabrejo - Web Oficial The Nasca Code - El Codigo Nasca - Wiki Regards! Collection of programming questions in java....? Posted: 15 Nov 2010 10:57 PM PST hello friend's, I think during exam time we all need the collection of the questions that cover all the topics of the programming language. Not only during exam time it will also helps you to revise the entire subject. I know most of our CEan's have some collection of programs which cover all the syllabus. . Posted: 15 Nov 2010 07:19 PM PST Many a times when you are using net within an organization or college campus, you face the problem of IP conflict. As some one within the same network come up having the same IP as yours. 1.I want to know how our OS detects it. How it gets the information that some other guy is using the same IP ? 2. Now take the same senario when X and Y have same IP address and are on same network. and suppose theri IP is 172.19.1.23 Now if X use ping 172.19.1.23 (his own IP which is same as that of Y) Now how do we know who has given the reply (reply comes from its own machine or Y has sent the reply) |
Help with Mackey Glass in Simulink Posted: 15 Nov 2010 05:42 PM PST Hello, I am new to simulink and Matlab. I am trying to simulate the Mackey-Glass equation with Simulink. The equation is : dx(t)/dt = 0.2 (x(t-tau)/1 + x^10(t-tau)) -0.1x(t) where: x(0)=1.5 and tau=17 I did it in Matlab but i do not know who arrange the bloks in the correct order. I know I need to take the derivative of y, integrate to generate y and generate the equivalent of the derivative to put at the input of the integrator. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you, Antonio |
Difference between load and resistor Posted: 15 Nov 2010 05:18 PM PST We know that a resistor can be considered as a load. Now the question is, if we increase the resistance according to ohm's law V = IR, the current must fall. Again we say that if the load is increased in the circuit, current consumption gets higher. So the question is, what happens to the circuit current if the load is increased or decreased?? |
