Micromax X1i Dual SIM, Band Mobile Overview & Price In India

Posted: 28 Oct 2010 11:43 AM PDT

Micromax is India's largest mobile maker and has introduced a popular phone model in the market. The Micromax x1i. This sleep looking phone is power packed with features and has a long lasting battery. Let's review this phone and find out whether the phone is worth the price.

First Impression:
Attachment 20

This phone is a 'bar' type phone with impressive looks (dimensions: 106*44.5*16mm). On the first looks, it gives an impression of a costly handset, but it is not! The black metallic color this phone has will surely impress all your friends.

Dual SIM ( GSM+GSM ) & Dual Band ( 900/1800 MHz )

As with most of the Micromax models, this phone is a dual SIM phone that can carry two GSM SIM cards. You may use one for personal use and other for official use. The phone also has Dual Band so that you'll always remain ocnnected even if you're roaming.

Lightweight: Well, I especially like it! The lighter the phone, the better it is to carry. This phone weighs only 82 gm!

Screen Size, Display & Resolution: This phone has 3.7 cm wide screen just big enough to display information. The supported resolution is 128*128 Pixels and displays 65k colors. Well, not very impressive, but you can't expect more for the price.

FM Radio & Speakerphone: The phone has FM radio which works when you connect a headphone wire to it (acts as antenna). The phone also has a speakerphone in case you wish to use it in hands-free mode while driving car. The phone also support conference calling (multi-calling) so that you can talk to multiple people at the same time via conference.

Phonebook Memory: The phone book memory is very limited with only 100 contacts. Very disappointing. But if you aren't very social, you won't need even 100 contacts. It's altogether your choice.

Expandable Memory: The phone supports upto 2GB of expandable memory through MicroSD card.

Battery: This phone has Li-ion (1800mAh) battery. Big enough to give you lot of talktime of about 8-12 hours. The company claims a talk time of about 15 hours.

Price & Verdict: This phone costs just Rs. 2400/- and a great pick if you want a regular phone with basic features and music. Just pay attention to very limited phonebook (100 contacts) and also SMS memory (100 sms).

A Way to download Flash files!

Posted: 28 Oct 2010 07:47 AM PDT

Hey guys,
I have found a way to download flash content/files from internet. This trick is kinda old, most of you might know this.

Nowadays there are lots of flash based content on internet.
You can download these content by following these steps -

For IE users:
1) Please open the web page which consists flash contents.
2) Click on Tools - Internet Options - General Tab. Choose Browsing History's Settings Button.
3) Click on View Files. There you can see all the files. Look for .swf/.flv (for videos) files

Code:

The above image: 1. Shows the video file. Now copy the file to proper location and just rename it with anyname.flv (extension of flash videos is .flv)
2. Shows the Flash Content

4) Copy-paste the necessary files to proper location.

For Firefox users:
1) Please open the web page which consists flash contents.
2) Click on Tools - Page Info - Media Tab
3) You can see more files in Address area. Just scroll down to see your desired .swf/.flv (for videos) files
4) Click on it. You can see the preview of that flash.
5) Click on Save As button and give the path to save.

Does anyone know how to download flash contents with chrome?

Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Available In India Only For Rs. 16,00,00,000/-

Posted: 28 Oct 2010 07:12 AM PDT

So, you are passionate about cars? The Volkswagen group which is the owner of the Bugatti brand has launched the super-premium-luxury-sports car in India "Veyron 16.4 GS" for a price of Rs. 16 crore.

Attachment 19

"Bugatti has been doing well in America, Europe and the Middle East. Now we see India as an emerging market for us, hence we have decided to bring the car to India," Bugatti Automobiles Sales Market Manager (Middle East, Europe and India) Guy Caquelin told reporters.

If anyone is willing to buy this car, please note that it would take minimum of 6 to 8 months for the car to be delivered once you make the order. Caquelin said Bugatti is aiming between 60 and 80 units of the car to be sold across the globe this year and there have been queries from 3 to 4 Indians globally.

Well, for a car with top speed of 407km/hr which goes 0-100km/hr in 2.7 seconds; the price is justified, right?

What say you?

  • Quadband: What this means is this phone supports 4 different GSM frequencies. That is, this phone will work pretty much everywhere in the world.
  • Camera: This phone's got 2 mega pixel camera. You can click 'okay' looking photos with this phone and also capture videos.
  • Dual SIM: This phone supports GSM+GSM networks. That means you can carry two separate numbers in single mobile.

  • Battery: Again, there's no official information available about this phone about the battery and backup time. If someone gets this information from other sources, please update this thread.
Verdict: This phone is available at a price of Rs. 4799/-. I think for the price, the phone is a good choice considering you can watch TV on it.
