Quick Heal Total Security 2010

Posted: 16 Oct 2010 06:41 AM PDT

Quick HealTM Total Security 2010TM is an excellent, comprehensive security system for your PC/laptop/notebook. The installation process is flawless and requires minimum input from the user.
The package contains additional features and tools such as disk defragmenter and computer optimization tools that are normally bought as stand-alone software but which is included in this software package. This is excellent value for money.
The computer optimization tool freed almost 1GB of space on my hard drive, removed 144 useless entries from the registry and defragmented the disk to such an extent that the improvement on my laptop performance is noticeable.
The virus database is extensive and updates automatically to keep you up to date and protected against new viruses as and when they are detected. A built-in function talks directly to the user to advise against threats.

The look and feel is professional and I feel confident to use my laptop now, knowing that it is protected against ID theft, viruses, malware and spyware.

I recommend this product. It offers fantastic protection for the private user and the professional alike.

when we perform practical in lab.
the stator is delta connected .wattmeter is connected in line (V of wattmeter connected to the neutral of variac) after the ammeter.
thw current passes through the wattmeter is line current but wattmeter measure per phase power . why????

Answering machines should set the date and time themselves

Posted: 15 Oct 2010 08:28 PM PDT

There are toll free numbers that one may call to get date and time information. It's about time that someone made a telephone answering machine that was capable of setting its own date and time clock automatically - or at least at the press of a single button.

Can anyone help with PWM voltage regulator for 120 V solar battery charging

Posted: 15 Oct 2010 06:08 PM PDT

I am setting up a solar power system to charge a 120 volt 100Ahr battery, which powers a UPS (inverter). Unfortunately, I cannot find a charge regulator for such a high voltage battery. So I need to build one. I will probably use a PWM controller IC, but there are so many types available, I'm not sure where to start. There are current mode PWM controllers, DC DC converters, power supply controllers etc.

I have four solar panels with a Vmp of 35, so at full power, they produce 140v, at 9 amps. The battery voltage should be regulated to 137 volts. As the battery reaches full voltage, I want the current to taper off, and the excess power from the solar array, to be diverted to another use. So my charge regulator will have two outputs, one that is regulated for battery charging, and the other that starts to output only once the battery is charged. There are PWM ICs with A and B outputs. I think they are in "opposite phase" to each other, so when one is high, the other is low, and therefore, I could use these outputs to achieve my aim Is that right? I am assuming N-channel FETs are what is required in my application? I am thinking of BUZ30A FETs which are reasonably priced, 200v, 21A rated.

Any comments would be helpful. Thanks.

Regards, Mike
