Infosys, TCS and Wipro to hire 90000 people

Posted: 12 Oct 2010 10:07 AM PDT

It's time to rub off the recession blues because there is finally some good news for the millions of software professionals in India.

Recruitment firms and HR teams at leading IT firms say the sector has witnessed the highest-ever job creation in September, with staff strength growing over 50%, similar to pre-recession levels.

Interestingly, Mahindra Satyam, which is on a comeback trail, plans to recruit some 3,000 by February next year. The company, with some 27,000 employees on rolls, has been hiring fresh talent for the past few months now and has already added 3,000 people during May-July.

On a second thought, a questions crossed my mind do these companies ensure stability of jobs to the massive job-applicants? Or to they get to see trimmed pay-checks and no promotions? :-o

CEans,

We are planning to run competitions throughout the end of this year and we need competition ideas. We'll run all the competitions online and every member should be able to participate.

The competitions can be technical & non-technical; but we'd love to have a good mixture of both.

Let your creative juices flow.

'Difference Between' Questions & Answers

Posted: 12 Oct 2010 06:32 AM PDT

Once in a while we come up with questions, where we want to find difference between 2 or more things.
We sometimes want a systematic point-to-point difference and at the other times just a brief overview of the variations in those 2-3 things.

So, let's dedicate this thread to all the difference between questions and answers.

I think this thread can be very useful to all the technical queries at the student as well as professional level.

micro controller help

Posted: 12 Oct 2010 06:25 AM PDT

hey ppl, i need help for my final year project. basically, we are doing a open parking lot, powered by solar panel and batteries. we have IR transmitter and receiver at each parking lot. we only have 5, it is just a prototype. i still need to design a 7 display segment in order to show the number of available slot left, it will be much more useful. so this mean, the number shown on the display segment will always be 5 if there is no car, and if a car comes in and park, it will be 4. basically, just -1 from the base number. and +1 if a car leave the lot. what micro controller should i use? or if nt, is there any simpler way to achieve this? how should i go about doing it? i do nt have much time left to do, maybe abt 2 month. i need serious help, thanks alot.
