CE As Your College TechFest Event Partner - We Are Open! Posted: 14 Sep 2010 05:12 AM PDT CEans, If your college is organizing a TechFest or any similar event; you can now have CE as your tech fest partner. We're now open to all the proposals. We however will be selective in our associations, which does not mean your college has to be a famous one. It's your opportunity to brand your college and spread the word about latest happenings in your college to the world. Also, it would be nice if you could contact us for partnership at least a month in advance. |
How you can save money on your college laptop Posted: 14 Sep 2010 05:05 AM PDT If you're tight on budget, but need a laptop for your college needs; the best way would be to get an old laptop (second hand) and setup uBuntu in it. uBuntu does not need powerful hardware and is at par with Windows 7 and other operating systems. The biggest advantage: Everything on uBuntu from Word Processing to Image editing - is totally, absolutely, legally free. By the way, how many of you have uBuntu installed on your laptops? |
40" SONY BRAVIA LCD/LED VS. Samsung Vs. Panasonic Vs. LG Posted: 14 Sep 2010 05:00 AM PDT CEans, Can you all help in choosing the best 40" LED/LCD from the popular brands? The LEDs are priced higher than LCDs and I've found them to be brighter than then LCDs. In terms of connectivity; I think all of them have standard HDMI inputs and component. Bravia's got internet widgets which I'm not interested in (seriously, do we need apps for TV? :p ) What would be your recommendation? |

Nokia sells 260k smartphones/day Vs. 80k iPhones/day Vs. 200k androids/day Posted: 14 Sep 2010 04:45 AM PDT MobileCrunch reports that Nokia which is being widely criticized for not being innovative beats the competition by selling about 260,000 smartphones all over the world every single day as compared to Apple's 80,000 iphones/day and 200,000 Android Enabled phones/day. I think Nokia is a preferred brand when it comes to Mobile phones; best known for ease of use, durability and life. |
